Managing Director at Cavell, Matt Townend oversees the business as one of its founders and acts as lead consultant on many of its projects. As well as running Cavell’s consulting and research businesses, he is also Director of the Cloud Communications Alliance, the international association of cloud comms providers. Matt combines practical business experience, having previously held senior product, sales, and marketing roles for service providers with his vast market analyst & consulting experience.

Growth Director and Principal Analyst at Cavell, Dom Black has worked in the technology and telecoms sectors for the last decade, producing market leading research into UCaaS, CCaaS, and Microsoft Teams. His colleagues at Cavell work primarily with service providers, carriers, and channel organisations, to help them understand how the market is evolving and adapting.

Alastair Buck

Alastair is our Consulting Director at Cavell, focusing on strategy and due diligence projects at Cavell. Alastair has held senior leadership positions managing some the UK’s largest legacy and next-generation voice products. In a career spanning over 30 years in the telco industry, he has broad experience across all product portfolios, having worked for global suppliers, global operators, a start- up and BT Wholesale. Alastair brings to the team his extensive practical and consulting experience.

Patrick Watson

Research Director

Research Director at Cavell, Patrick's main areas of attention within the cloud communications industry are the collaboration and customer experience sectors, including both CCaaS and CPaaS. Patrick has been working in the business technology sector for over ten years, with a degree specialising in journalism and data analytics. Over this time, Patrick has worked with the market's leading brands to understand their propositions and gain insight into their strategies, providing a conduit for information on some of the market's biggest news stories, emerging trends, and disruptive technologies.
