Cavell Summit Europe 2026: Practical strategies for profitable growth in a changing market

On Wednesday 25 March 2026, Cavell brought together senior leaders from across the European communications and IT services ecosystem for Cavell Summit Europe 2026, our flagship one‑day event focused on the commercial realities shaping the market today.

Held in London, the Summit welcomed service providers, telcos, MSPs, vendors, investors and end customers for a day of discussion centred on around a core challenge: how to drive sustainable, profitable growth as traditional communications services become increasingly commoditised and margins come under pressure.

From market pressure to commercial clarity

The agenda for Cavell Summit Europe 2026 was designed around the real questions leadership teams are dealing with as they look ahead through 2026 and beyond. These included how to defend and grow revenue in mature markets, where AI can deliver genuine commercial value, and how sovereignty, compliance and route‑to‑market models are reshaping deployment decisions across Europe.

The day opened with Cavell’s Principal Analyst, Dom Black, setting the context for a market where disruption is no longer occasional, but constant. This was followed by the opening keynote from Cavell Managing Director Matt Townend, who explored how pricing pressure, shifting buyer behaviour, AI adoption, security concerns and sovereignty requirements are forcing providers to rethink long‑standing growth playbooks.

Partnerships, platforms and the future of growth

An important theme throughout the day was how service provider partnerships are evolving at both a regional and global level. This was explored in a panel session hosted by Zoom, which brought together perspectives from Deutsche Telekom, Bell Canada and O2 Daisy to discuss how platform strategy and go‑to‑market models are adapting to changing customer expectations and competitive dynamics.

Rather than focusing on technology for its own sake, the conversation repeatedly returned to commercial outcomes. Speakers highlighted the importance of clarity around value creation, whether through improved customer experience, operational efficiency, or new revenue opportunities layered onto existing customer relationships.

Turning insight into action

Alongside keynote sessions and panels, the Summit also featured the latest edition of the Cavell Impact Series. These short, focused sessions examined which communications technologies are proving commercially relevant today, and where providers can realistically act to increase revenue per user without driving churn.

Across the programme, there was a strong emphasis on practical playbooks. Discussions covered packaging, pricing, attach strategies and service innovation, with a consistent focus on helping providers move from insight to execution in a market where growth is harder won than it once was.

The customer perspective

A defining feature of Cavell Summit Europe 2026 was the inclusion of a strong customer voice. SMB and enterprise buyers shared how their expectations of partners are changing, what influences renewals versus switching, and how buying committees and procurement processes are evolving. These sessions were designed to provide a grounded reality check on what actually drives purchasing decisions in today’s market.

For many attendees, this customer insight reinforced the need to move beyond selling connectivity alone, and towards positioning communications platforms as enablers of broader business outcomes.

Looking ahead

As the European communications market continues to mature, the conversations at Cavell Summit Europe 2026 made one thing clear: profitable growth will increasingly depend on execution, differentiation and a clear understanding of where real value is created.

We would like to thank all speakers, sponsors and attendees who contributed to an open and commercially focused day of discussion. The insights shared at the Summit will continue to inform Cavell’s research, analysis and advisory work as we support service providers navigating the next phase of market change.
